The featured image is a positive coronavirus result. Same with the article, it is about the Ohio Governor who was tested positive for coronavirus.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine tested positive for COVID-19, a few hours before meeting US President Donald Trump in Ohio.

The governor took a COVID-19 test before he met with Trump, as per a standard protocol before meeting the President.

The governor was set to greet Trump at the Burke Lakefront Airport before Trump delivers his remarks on Economic Prosperity.

DeWine was not able to meet him.

“A very good friend of mine just tested positive,” Trump said of DeWine.

The “Governor of Ohio, DeWine just tested positive. Just here,” he added.

Trump also assured everyone, that the Governor will be “fine.”

Trump was greeted instead by Ohio’s Lt. Governor, Jon Husted.

No Symptoms

The governor’s official Twitter account posted on Thursday morning, announcing the news on the Governor’s positive results.

According to them, the governor does not have any present symptoms at the moment.

Furthermore, the Governor will take another test to Columbus along with his wife, Ohio’s First Lady, Fran DeWine.

DeWine will also follow the protocol for COVID-19 and undergo a 14-day quarantine inside his home.

Ohio’s Statewide Mask Mandate

Last month, DeWine passed a mandate requiring all Ohio citizens to wear face coverings, as per a News 5 report.

People are required to wear their face coverings whenever they are inside a public space.

They are also required to wear masks when they are outdoor and it is impossible to maintain a 6-foot distance from other people.

The state also requires all students to wear face coverings when in an in-person instruction situation, said DeWine on Tuesday, as per Crain’s Cleveland Business.

An exception to this rule are students with medical or behavioral issues.

Coronavirus Cases in Ohio

Ohio now reports more than 90,000 cases of Coronavirus in the state, as per the Government of Ohio.

The state also reports more than 3,000 deaths due to the virus.

In the middle of June, a man with COVID-19 attended church and infected 91 other people in the process.

53 among them were at the same service, the governor said on Tuesday, as per a CNN report.
