Milano Accused Of Blackface

Actress and a known critic of President Donald Trump, Alyssa Milano pushed back against allegations that she once wore blackface.

Milano is responding to an article alleging she was “facing backlash” over a supposed “blackface scandal.”

The allegation was in the headline of the conservative site LifeZette, said CNN.

Milano tweeted:

“Hey, a**holes. The below picture is me parodying Jersey Shore and Snooki’s (cq) tan.

“Snookie’s tan (she is a sweetheart by the way) is worthy of parodying as is Trump’s ‘tan.'”

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is a star of the hit MTV series “Jersey Shore.”

Snooki is known for her tan.

Polizzi, who was born in Chile and adopted as an infant by Italian-American parents.

She declined to comment on CNN.

CNN said they also reached out to LifeZette for comment.

Crushing The Opposition

Milano is an outspoken in her opposition to Trump.

She tweeted days earlier about what she alleges is a smear campaign against her because of her politics.

Other Trump critics had recently faced some backlashes for their blackface portrayal decades ago.

Among them were late night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon.

Both had apologized since their respective videos had “resurfaced.”

Kimmel admitted making an impersonation of basketball legend Carl Malone and other African-American celebrities.

Meanwhile, Fallon had asked for clemency for making an impression of Kevin Hart.

Putin’s Writing On The Wall

Milano believed that there is an intent to give malice to her satire to Snooki.

She tweeted Saturday along with the 2013 video from the parody:

“The right-wing trolls are using a still from this funny or die video where a parodied Snooki from Jersey Shore.”

“If you see the screengrab that they are using maybe you can shut them down with a link to the entire video.”

Milano even put a finger on who is behind all this.

“Cancel culture is being weaponized by the right/Putin,” Milano tweeted Monday.

She is referring to Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

“Take notice of who they are targeting & what is trending,” she wrote.

“Are they trying to hurt Trump’s most vocal critics? Yup.

The misinformation campaign has begun. Be vigilant in what you post on social media. Truth still matters.”
