SHOTS FIRED IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD

A police officer was hurt and a suspect was taken into custody after a barricade situation in North Hollywood escalated into a police shooting Sunday evening, the police said. 

According to the police, the shooting was reported in the 5100 block of Bakman Avenue. The Los Angeles Police Department responded after getting a call about Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Shots Fired call. 

According to a KTLA report, one of the officers involved is injured, but no further details yet on “the extent and type of the officer’s injuries”, or whether the suspect was also injured as the investigation is still in its early stages.
