ONE KILLED IN CAR CRASH

One person was killed Thursday when a vehicle swerved off a Rancho Bernardo street, crashed into a tree and caught fire.

The fatal crash in the 16400 block of West Bernardo Drive took place shortly before noon.

The still unidentified victim was trapped in the burning vehicle and died at the scene, according to San Diego police.

The wreck resulted in a small brush-fire and ruptured a water line, forced closure of traffic lanes in the area.

SAN DIEGO WESTFIELD MALLS TO REOPEN NEXT WEEK

San Diego Westfield shopping centers is set to reopen on Friday, 29 May, following the state approval for in-restaurant dining and in-store retail Wednesday night,

Westfield UTC, Mission Valley, North County, and Plaza Bonita, are included in the reopening.

Report from CBS8 said, the centers will welcome back customers with modified hours, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday,

REOPENING GUIDELINES

Restaurant guidelines for reopening includes:

  • Temperature/symptom screening for employees daily
  • Employees with symptoms are not allowed to work
  • All tables need to be six feet apart or have barriers separating them
  • Signs need to be posted reminding customers to social distance
  • Employees must wear facial coverings
  • Customers must wear facial coverings except when seated
  • No self-service such as buffets, salad bars, soda machines, etc.
  • Encourage reservations
  • Expand outdoor seating

Retail shopping requirements:

  • Post signs saying no to employees or customers with COVID-19 symptoms should enter
  • Temperature/symptom screening for employees daily
  • Employees and customers must wear facial coverings
  • Limit number of customers to maintain six feet of distance
