A CYCLIST DIED OF HIT-HITCH-AND-RUN
A cyclist hit by a car, then was hitchhiked in it and was left dead inside the car later found in the 6800 block of El Cajon Boulevard, said a CBS8 report.
San Diego Police said the crash occurred about 7:05 p.m. near University Avenue and Alamo Drive.
The suspect’s vehicle was traveling westbound in the No. 1 lane of the 6600 block of University Avenue approaching Alamo Drive when the driver of the red Toyota Prius made a sweeping left turn southbound and the car struck the bicyclist.
The driver got out of his car, picked up the injured bicyclist and placed him back on the street, then got back into his car and drove away westbound on University Avenue, then northbound onto Aragon Way.
The suspect later abandoned his car with the dead body onboard.
MISSING MAN, NOW FOUND
San Diego Sheriff’s Department reported that they found Kyle Meekins, the 35-year old man reported missing on 25 May.
Deputies found Meekins, more than 24-hours after he was reported missing, along 3600 block of Valley Parkway in the city of Escondido.
“Mr. Meekins was suffering from dehydration, so he was evaluated by paramedics and transported to the hospital for treatment,” Sheriff’s Department added.
A MAN ON CRIME SPREE PLEAD NOT GUILTY
A man who allegedly committed a crime spree in Escondido, plead not guilty during his arraignment, said a CBS8 report.
Timothy Alvardo, 22, of La Mesa, is accused of stabbing the victim in the neck on 16 May.
Before that the suspect was accused of several car thefts.
He faces 11 years to life in prison if convicted of attempted murder and maximum of eight years and eight months behind bars for the vehicle theft, said the report.
MAN WHO KILLED GRANDMA, ARRAIGNED
A man who allegedly killed his 78-year-old grandmother in Oceanside plead not guilty to the murder, said a CBS8 report.
According to police report, Adre Hansen, 34, was involved in a disturbance last 15 May in 300 block of Edgehill Land.
He was reportedly yelling and making threats against his grandmother.
