Caroline Giuliani walks past reporters

Caroline Giuliani is a film-maker and the daughter of US President Trump’s personal lawyer and former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani.

Rudy Giuliani’s daughter joins the ranks of children of conservatives going against their parents’ political ideologies in public.

In an essay for the Vanity Fair, Caroline Giuliani talks about her relationship with her father when it comes to their political differences.

Caroline Giuliani identifies as a Liberal, which is different from her Republican father’s political ideology.

It is also not surprising that she encourages people to vote for Democratic candidates, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

However, the director is not the first child of a conservative parent who has shunned their parents’ political affiliation and pushed their own different political choices.

In fact, Claudia Conway, daughter of the President’s counselor, Kellyanne Conway, posts on social media topics her mother disapproves of.

Another example is Stephanie Regan who dissuaded Michigan voters from voting for her father, Robert Regan.

The older Regan was running for Congress at that time.

The younger Giuliani herself has been public in her differences in opinion towards her father’s politics and views.

For example, in one of her tweets, she wrote “stop gaslighting” and tagged her father and Trump’s Twitter accounts.

The tweet is about Rudy Giuliani telling a group of Trump supporters, “people don’t die” of the coronavirus anymore.

During the recent Vice Presidential debate between Harris and US Vice President Mike Pence, the liberal daughter also rebutted many of her father’s criticism of the former.

The President’s Personal Bulldog

In her essay in Vanity Fair, the director called her father a “polarizing mayor” and the “president’s personal bulldog.”

A scathing attack against her own father.

According to Caroline Giuliani, being Rudy Giuliani’s daughter taught her that “corruption starts With “yes-men” and women.

For example, people around Trump, according to the younger Giuliani, creates “an echo chamber of lies and subservience” to stay in power.
