Riley Keough, American actress and granddaughter of the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley wrote a heartfelt tribute to her brother, Benjamin Keough.
The two were the children of Elvis’ one and only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley and her ex-husband, Danny Keough.
Tribute to Her Brother
On Saturday, the actress posted in her Instagram account a letter remembering her brother.
She also included pictures of them together.
“Mornings are the hardest,” wrote Keough to her brother.
“I forget you’re gone. I can’t cry because of the fear that I will never stop. A pain that is new to me.”
“There are no words for you. Angel is the closest I could think of,” she continued.
“Protector. Too sensitive for this harsh world. I hope you give me strength to endure the giant hole you’ve left in my heart.”
She concluded, “I guess this is true heartbreak. I hope we meet again”.
Benjamin Keough was just 27-year-old when he died from a self-inflicted gunshot in Calabasas, California, said a TMZ report.
A coroner told the Us Weekly that he died due to an intraoral shotgun wound.
Lisa Marie Presley “is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated,” said Roger Widynowski, Lisa Marie Presley’s representative in a statement.
But the mother of four is “trying to stay strong” for her children, the twins, and her oldest, Riley.
“She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.” Widynowski said.
In 2019, Lisa Marie Presley included in her tweet a picture of her with her children.
It said, “Mama Lion with Cubs”.
Riley, her twin girls, and Benjamin were in the picture, together with her.
People were quick to notice the resemblance between Benjamin and his grandfather, Elvis Presley.
Like his grandfather, Benjamin was also a musician, as per a US Magazine report.
In fact, he got a record deal with Universal Records in 2009.
He also performed his mother’s hit song “Storm & Grace” in 2012, as per a Your Tango report.
