Following his tweet that he is tested positive with the coronavirus, a teammate, contemporaries, and fans all shared their concerns for NBA legend Patrick Ewing.

His former Knicks teammate Charles Oakley tweeted: “I went to war with you for ten years. I won’t leave you on the battlefield now. Get well Patrick. More fights ahead.

His contemporary NBA basketball player Adonal Foyle said on his tweeter account, “Praying for the Big Guy, #PatrickEwing, and hoping for a full recovery. You got this, my friend! We’re all pulling for you.”

Foyle played for the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic, and Memphis Grizzlies.

The twitterdom was filled with support from basketball fans, showcasing some videos with Ewing still playing in the NBA.

Adam Nelson, a long-time college basketball coach turned blogger/podcaster/commentator, said, “Wishing Patrick Ewing a speedy recovery. Scary stuff.”

A fan Khairi Williams, said “Had to throw these on today! Get well big fella @EwingAthletics.”

Ewing is currently the head coach for the Georgetown Men’s Basketball Team.

On a related NBA development,  the leagues’ Chief Communications Officer Mike Bass, tweeted they together with NBA Players Association are currently under exploratory conversations with The Walt Disney Company.

This about the restarting of the 2019-20 NBA Seasons in late July at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida as a single site for an NBA Campus for games, practices, and housing.

“Our priority continues to be the health and safety of all involved, and we are working with public health experts and government officials on a comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure the appropriate medical protocols and protections are in place,” said Bass.
