On Thursday, American comedian, Ziwe Fumudoh, interviewed Alexis Haines née Neiers, the inspiration behind Niki Moore from The Bling Ring movie.
The character of Nicki Moore was played by former Harry Potter actress, Emma Watson.
In the movie, Watson played the character in a stereotypical valley girl accent.
The movie is a retelling of a 2010 Vanity Fair article about a group of valley kids’ that committed burglaries in Hollywood.
The original “Bling Ring” robbed the homes of celebrities like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Orlando Bloom.
Alexis Haines’ Issue With Emma Watson
At the start of the interview, Haines shared that she felt all kinds of anxiety being in Fumudoh’s Instagram live show.
To which, Fumudoh replied that she’ll be as humane as possible towards her.
During Fumudoh’s segment with the former reality show star, the two first talked about Nancy Jo Sales.
Sales wrote the now-famous article about the group’s shenanigans in Vanity Fair.
Fumodoh also asked Haines on her view on a specific “white privilege” of yelling towards a “Vanity Fair reporter.”
“It was very white,” the socialite answered.
“I lived a very privileged life,” Haines added.
Fumudoh then asked about Watson’s portrayal of her in The Bling Ring.
She also asked if she would prefer “diversity” and be played by another actress like Zendaya.
First, despite Zendaya being “amazing,” Haines answered that it would be a bad choice.
She then went on and talked about Watson.
The problem with Watson is her comments towards Haines despite knowing her situation, the socialite said.
Haines was already “in treatment” during the film’s production, she added.
According to Haines, Watson said, that she is the “epitome” of someone she is “totally against” with.
She also called her “disgusting.”
Haines explained that during that time, people already knew about her heroin addiction.
Haines has not watched the movie and has no plans of watching it, she said.
