American actress and dancer, Heather Morris remembers Naya Rivera in her Instagram post.
Morris, a friend of the late Rivera posted a heartfelt letter of remembrance for her friend.
Morris also played Rivera’s love interest in the hit TV series Glee.
Moreover, the two continued their friendship outside work, and even after the show ended.
In her post, Morris remembers her friend Rivera by describing their loving friendship.
Morris also included photos of their children together, showing the close relationship between the two friends and their families.
“We started out as the closest friends and then like all new things, we went through a bit of a rocky phase,” wrote Morris.
“However, we stuck by each other’s side and created the most beautiful friendship built out of love and understanding”.
The two friends last saw each other when Morris “left oranges” outside Rivera’s home.
Morris shared her regret of not being able to say “hi” through her window due to her phone not notifying her.
This was when Rivera and her son left her succulents as a thank you for the oranges she gave them.
The actress also shared her and Rivera’s promise to see each other every Easter.
However, due to the coronavirus, the two were not able to see each other this year.
Morris still listens to Rivera’s “EP on repeat”.
“I always wished the world knew more of your voice,” she said.
Morris shared the lessons she got from Rivera, like “being strong” and “not giving a f**k” respectfully.
Lastly, she talked about the “pride and joy” the two shared because of their children.
“I’m showing the world a photo of our little goofballs for you,” Morris said.
“Because I know that meant more than anything, and they remind me of you and I”.
The dancer-actress ended her post saying, she “cherish every moment” with her friend and “hold it close” to her heart.
Naya Rivera’s Death
Rivera went missing on July 8, three hours after she and her son rented a boat in Lake Piru.
On Tuesday, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office found Rivera’s body and declared her dead.
According to them, Rivera “mustered enough energy” to rescue her son.
However, she was not able to save herself.
During the search operation, Morris volunteered to join and help in looking for Rivera.
