On Tuesday, the American pop-country singer, Taylor Swift, dropped a bomb after announcing Disney Plus will stream a Folklore special starting Wednesday, reports said.
Disney Plus describes the special as an “intimate concert” of Swift’s record-breaking album.
The title of the film, Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, was directed by Swift herself. Also, it has great timing as its launch fell a day before Thanksgiving.
According to What’s On Disney Plus, Swift will perform all the songs in Folklore.
Also, the film, for the first time, will reveal the backstories and secrets of all songs included in the album.
Co-producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, along with Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon are all accompanying Swift in the special.
A Product of COVID-19 Lockdown
Her album was a product of Swift’s isolation and is something she had never planned, she said during the launch of Folklore.
In addition, a team did the production while most of the states are still in lockdown.
Everyone wore masks, socially distanced from each other, and Swift herself did her own makeup and styling, she said.
Fans Are Excited
It has already been four months since Swift released Folklore.
However, the hype is still there, and Swift is still slaying with the album’s songs and garnering awards and nominations for them.
Fast forward to now, fans are excited again because of this new material from the Shake It Off singer.
In fact, many fans have taken to social media to air their excitement for the film.
Twitter user Lorena shared Swift’s surprise “is a really nice notification to wake up to.”
Another Twitter user, TalentArtFan, shared their opinion on the film’s video trailer saying, it’s “the best 2 minutes before the real thing.”
A few days ago, Swift tweeted a black and white picture of herself with the caption, “not a lot going on at the moment.”
Some fans since then have begun speculating what the surprise is.
However, no one got the correct answer.
