Family and fans of Michael Jackson remembered the “King of Pop” on his death anniversary.
11 years ago, on June 25th, Jackson passed away due to an overdose of drugs following a cardiac arrest, said The Sun report.
Despite controversies about his death and his life, people in different parts of the world still remember his death.
To commemorate this, fans on Twitter used the hashtag #11YearsWithOutMichaelJackson.
Fans shared the hashtag along with quotes, GIFs, and images, relating to the famous performer.
Some people celebrated his career and songs, others aired their appreciation of him.
Tito Jackson, his brother also posted on Twitter a picture of the King of Pop wearing a crown, along with the line, “Always in our hearts”.
Taj Jackson, his nephew remembered the loss of his uncle by his contribution to the world. He said, “the world is a darker place without Michael Jackson in it. His love and light is truly missed by us all.”
Paris Jackson, his daughter honored Jackson by thanking him “for the magic”, as per Billboard.
Jackson’s daughter also posted pictures of his dad, along with a quote from Ernest Hemmingway. The quote reads, “every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.”
Latoya Jackson also added a tribute to her brother, “To the greatest soul and entertainer in the world. You will always be in our hearts! May you continue to rest in peace!”
Other fans like Paul Hayward went to Jackson’s childhood home to honor the singer, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
