CELTICS WINS OVER BLAZERS

The attached image is a basketball game. The reason is that the article is about Boston Celtics beating Trail Blazers.

Jayson Tatum led the Boston Celtics with 34 points to win against Portland Trail Blazers with a 128-124 victory.

Notably, his teammate Jaylen Brown contributed 30 points in last Sunday’s game, said an ESPN report.

Boston coach Brad Stevens said:

“That was a playoff-level energy that we had to play with at the end of the game.”

“This is a great experience.”

Career-highlight

Tatum also had another highlight that night.

He added a career-high eight assists.

Tatum said:

“It’s just about making the right reads.”

“Seeing the double-teams. Making the right play. Jaylen was open and those were the right reads.”

This considered a rebound from their terrible loss to Milwaukee on Friday.

He only scored five points on 2-of-18 shooting, then.

Keeping The First Half Domination

The Celtics had a 10-point lead with less than a minute left in the third to keep their domination of the first half of the game.

Portland’s Damian Lillard was fouled as he banked in an off-balance 3-pointer, and he made the free throw to get Portland within 92-86.

However, Kemba Walker ended the quarter with a basket for Boston making it 94-86 entering the fourth.

Boston was leading by as many as 24 in the second quarter.

A Good Second Half

Portland coach Terry Stotts noted that they have a good run during the second half.

He said:

“If anything, we’ll take away we played extremely well in the second half against a really good team.”

“We don’t have any time to have a hangover after a loss.”

Lillard’s 30 points and 16 assists combined with Jusuf Nurkic’s 30 points are not enough to give Portland a win.

Portland point guard, Lillard, even lost the ball with the last 6.8 seconds.

Though, Nurkic’s layup cut the lead to one with 3.4 seconds left.

Hayward added two free throws to push the lead to 127-124.

Nurkic’s long inbounds pass went out of bounds to secure Boston’s victory.
