Somewhere in Belarus, Europe, the Kostseva brothers, Stanislaw and Ilya will be executed for murder charges.
Their sister, Hanna Kostseva was present when the judge gave its verdict to her siblings. On the other hand, Natalya Kostseva, their mother, was not able to see her sons throughout the whole ordeal, from their arrest to their execution. She was only able to contact them through letters.
The brothers filed for an appeal but it was dismissed on May 22.
In a BBC report, human rights activist Andrey Polund Belarus said that the family of prisoners who face the death penalty was not given the execution time, date, and location of their dead.
Belarus is the only country in Europe that still allows death penalty.
